About amoviti
amoviti is a Family Continuity System: one secure place for your family's important documents, key contacts and step-by-step emergency workflows — and the system that gets the right parts of them to the right people when something happens to you.
Getting started
Setting up amoviti takes a first sitting of about an hour, then a few minutes whenever your life changes.
Your menu
Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen after you sign in.
Vault
The Vault holds the documents themselves — the will, the policies, the deed, the passports, the tax returns.
Family
Family is your household and the people they would call.
Assets
Assets is where you record what your household owns and your family would otherwise have to discover: bank and retirement accounts, investments, homes, vehicles, businesses and digital assets.
Emergency
This is the part of amoviti that matters most, and it is worth reading in full even if you skip everything else.
Life Events
Life Events are guided checklists for the moments that change what your family needs to know: buying a home, moving, a new job, a new child, marriage and travelling abroad.
Assistant
The Assistant answers questions about your own household in plain language — "when does my car insurance expire", "who is named on the house", "what am I still missing for my estate plan".
Features and account
AI and document analysis
amoviti can identify a document and fill in the details that matter — the document type, policy numbers, expiry dates, insurers — then use them on each person's records, in reminders and in your score.
Sharing documents
Share a specific document with a specific person through a secure link — for example your will with your attorney, or your home insurance policy with a sibling who is looking after the house.
Preparedness Score
Your preparedness score is a single number for how ready your family is — and a breakdown of exactly what it would take to improve it.
Notifications
What amoviti tells you about, and how it reaches you.
Settings
Your profile, notifications, reminders, subscription, privacy and activity log — all in one place.
Plans and billing
What each plan includes, what it costs, and what happens with payments and refunds.
Privacy and security
How your information is protected, and what amoviti does and does not do with it.
Web and mobile
amoviti runs on the web and as an iPhone and Android app, on one account with the same data.
Emergency shortcuts on your phone
When something happens you should not have to search the app.
Common questions
Common questions
Can amoviti decide on its own that I have died?
No. amoviti never decides that anything has happened — a person does.
For a death, only the people you named as confirmers count. One confirmation opens the urgent steps: who to call, in your order, and your first-day instructions. Your will, policies and other estate documents need a second named person to confirm, followed by seven days with no reply from you.
Throughout that time amoviti keeps asking you, once a day, whether you are safe. One tap on I'm safe ends everything and revokes what was shared. Anyone who was told can object, which holds the estate stage for seven days — or thirty if two or more people object.
Silence on its own never releases anything. If you stop using amoviti, it only asks the people you chose what happened.
Does everyone in my workflow see everything?
No. Access is per person and per step.
Each step in a workflow names who it reaches and which documents it carries. A person receives only the steps assigned to them and the documents attached to those steps. If the step reaching your attorney carries your will and the step reaching your sister carries your insurance policy, your sister never sees the will.
A workflow that attaches no documents still contacts the people you named — it just shares nothing. Access also ends: after 72 hours unless you chose a different length, and immediately if you tap I'm safe.
Can someone who knows my Emergency ID get into my account?
No. The ID only brings someone to your Emergency Portal, and the portal does not open anything on its own.
To go any further, the person must give a name and relationship that match a contact you saved, then enter a one-time code sent to the email you saved for that contact. A stranger who read your lock screen has neither, so they cannot report an emergency and cannot see anything.
You are told about every attempt made through your portal. Even a verified contact never gets into your account — they can report what happened and receive only what your workflow gives them.
Can other people sign in to my account?
No. An amoviti account has one owner — you — and nobody else has a login to it.
Other people reach your information in three ways only, and you set up each one:
- •A document you share with a secure link. The recipient confirms their email with a one-time code, the link expires (seven days unless you choose otherwise), and you can revoke it at any time.
- •What your emergency workflow gives them once a workflow has started — only their own steps and documents.
- •Your executor, after your death, if you chose to hand the account to them — and only after a death certificate has been reviewed by a person.
Every view and download is recorded, so you can always see who opened what.
What if I change my workflow after an emergency has started?
The emergency keeps using the workflow exactly as it was when it opened. Your edits apply to the next emergency, not the one already running.
This is a protection, not a limitation. If someone got into your account during an emergency, they could not add themselves to a running workflow or widen what it shares. It also means the people already contacted are working from instructions that will not change under them.
If a running emergency is wrong — for example it was a false alarm — end it with I'm safe, then update your workflow.
Will my workflow still work if I stop paying?
Partly. It depends on what you set up while you were on a paid plan.
- •Still works: if you set up your emergency workflow while on Plus or Signature, your family can still start it later — the event that stops your payments is often the event the workflow exists for.
- •Stops: check-ins, because they are an ongoing service. amoviti no longer notices if you go quiet.
- •Timers: armed timers on custom workflows stop running on Free.
- •Your documents: nothing is deleted. If you are over the Free storage limit, everything stays readable and new uploads pause.
Building and reviewing workflows is always free.
