amoviti is a Family Continuity System: one secure place for your family's important documents, key contacts and step-by-step emergency workflows — and the system that gets the right parts of them to the right people when something happens to you.
The problem it solves
When someone dies, is in hospital or suddenly cannot act for themselves, their family is asked to find things they have never had to find before. Where is the will. Which company insures the house. Who is the attorney, and what is her number. Is there a pension, a second bank account, a safe deposit box. Which bills come out automatically, and which ones will bounce.
The information almost always exists. It is scattered across drawers, email inboxes, filing cabinets and one person's memory — and that person is usually the one who is now unavailable. Families rarely fail here because they did not care. They fail because nobody wrote the answers down while there was still time, and because the one person who knew them is the person they now cannot ask.
How amoviti helps
You organise your documents, the people who matter and your instructions once, while life is calm. amoviti keeps them current with reminders and check-ins. If something happens, the people you chose are contacted in the order you set, and each of them receives exactly what you decided they should have — the steps you wrote for them and the documents you attached to those steps. Nothing more, and nothing you did not name.
The principle behind every screen is execution clarity under stress: your family should not have to work anything out on the worst day of their lives. They are told what to do, where things are and who to call.
What amoviti is not
- •Not just storage. A folder of files tells your family what exists, not what to do with it. amoviti ties each document to the step and the person that needs it.
- •Not a will or a lawyer. amoviti helps your family act on your will and reach your attorney; it does not replace either.
- •Not a password manager. amoviti never stores passwords. It records where things are kept, never how to open them.
- •Not a place others can sign in to. Your account has one owner — you.
The four things amoviti keeps
- •You, the owner — the person whose account this is. You are the only person who signs in and the only person who changes anything.
- •Family — your household and the people they would call: your partner, your children, your parents, your doctor, your attorney, a neighbour with a key. Each family member has their own records; some people are simply there to call, and others have a role in your emergency workflows.
- •Documents — the files in your Vault, each with a category and the family member it belongs to.
- •Workflows — what should happen, for whom, in which situation. A workflow is made of steps, and each step says who is contacted and which documents they receive.
Nothing is shared with anyone unless you share it yourself, or a workflow you built says so.
Where to go next
Start with Getting started for your first five steps, or read Emergency to understand exactly what happens when a workflow runs.
