Assets is where you record what your household owns and your family would otherwise have to discover: bank and retirement accounts, investments, homes, vehicles, businesses and digital assets.
An unrecorded account is the single most common thing families never find. A few minutes here saves them weeks of searching — or money they never knew existed.
Found in your documents
amoviti looks through what you have already uploaded and suggests assets it can see — a bank from a statement, a home from its deed, mortgage or tax bill, a business from its formation papers. Add to assets records it in one tap with what the documents say; Edit first opens the form so you can check it; Don't add hides it for good. Nothing is added until you choose.
What you record
The form asks only what fits the type — a home's address and value, an account's institution, whether a beneficiary is named with the provider — and each asset links to its documents in the Vault.
Insurance policies, mortgages and loans are not assets: they live with the home or the person they belong to. Your net worth is what you own less what you owe, and values stay hidden until you tap the eye.
Needs attention and ideas
On Plus and Signature, assets missing something important — no beneficiary named, no document, no value — are listed first. Ideas for what households like yours often have, and coverage gaps such as a home with no insurance on record, appear under Worth adding here and under Suggestions on your Dashboard.
How to record an asset
- 1.Start from a suggestion, or tap Add asset and choose its type.
- 2.Fill in what the form asks and link its documents from the Vault.
- 3.Say whether a beneficiary is named with the provider.
- 4.Review anything amoviti lists as needing attention.
