How your information is protected, and what amoviti does and does not do with it.
How your documents are protected
Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256. Access is limited to your household and the people you share with or name in a workflow.
amoviti's systems can access your documents' contents — that is how identifying documents, search and the Assistant work. Encryption at rest protects your files if someone obtains the storage itself; it is not a claim that amoviti cannot see them. For the full detail, see the Security page.
Signing in
There is no amoviti password. You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, or with Google. Codes expire after ten minutes and are limited to a few attempts. Sensitive actions, such as exporting your data or deleting your account, ask you to prove it is you a second time.
What amoviti does not do
- •It does not sell your data.
- •It does not store your passwords.
- •It does not share documents with anyone your workflow did not name.
- •It does not decide on its own that something is relevant and release it.
Children and other family members
The people in your family are profiles you keep, not accounts — nobody but you signs in. When you add a document that names a child, amoviti shows it on that child's page in Family and reads it as it reads any document of that type, including the child's date of birth, which decides the records it suggests for them. Adding an identity document can create a profile for the person it names; you can undo that. A child's records are shared only as you share them or as your workflows say, and are deleted with your account. The Privacy Policy explains this in full.
Your data
- •Export — download an archive of your documents and their details at any time, from Privacy settings.
- •Deletion — delete your account from Privacy settings. This removes your documents, contacts, assets, workflows and settings.
